The qualification needed and the other criterion to be satisfied for sub-inspector post are-Citizenship-You should have Indian citizenship.Age Limit-You age should be between 20 to 25 years.Age Relaxation available for reserved categories-3 years for OBC reserved category candidates.5 years for SC/ST reserved category candidates.5 years for candidates who have achieved distinction in sports.Education Qualification-You should have a bachelors degree inany discipline from a recognized university.There is no percentage cut-off as such.Physical Standards-minimum height needed-170cmsrequired chest size is 81cms before expansion and minimum 85cms after full expansion.Eligibility : Candidates having a degree from any recognized university can apply for the post of sub-inspector of police.Selection procedure :Through a series of physical ability tests followed by a written test.Physical tests include :*. A initial 5 kilometer run which should be completed in 25 minutes (* impossible without practice)*. A 100 meter sprint which should be completed in 15 seconds. (* easy)*.       1. Are you sure these are test procedures? Is physical and written exam pattern has been changed recently? I am sure before it was not like this in the physical test had 8 tests, you should have to clear at least 5 and written test had two stages preliminary was objective and main exam was descriptive.
